Welcome Friends and Visitors!
If you are visiting with us today, please join the Broadmoor Staff in Abba's Cafe immediately following service for a cup of Coffee and warm conversation. It would be our distinct privilege to meet and fellowship with you.
You are Invited!
We would love to have extra teachers, teacher assistants, monitors to help with our children church program on Sundays. We can use volunteers on a full-time/ part-time or substitute basis. We try to have each volunteer to work with a partner or team. Men or women and all ages over 18 welcome! If interested, please turn your name and phone number into the church office. We would love to tell you about our program and see where you would like to serve!
*Note: Our pastoral staff request any volunteers ministering during the 9:00am or 11:00am service be present in the sanctuary for the other service. Thank you!
Temporary Suspension of the Van/Bus Ministry
We will be suspending the Van/Bus Ministry for a short duration effective Wednesday, January 20th. We are revamping and restructuring this ministry to prepare for growth and increase. We encourage you to be in prayer with us as we are excited about what God has in store. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work hard to be about the Father's business.
Faith Weaver Friends
We are beginning a new Curriculum in our children’s dept called Faith Weaver Friends. This will be done in 12 week increments and will keep the children interested as they explore important aspects of the Bible. We are very excited about this but need your help. If you have a love for children we need you. We are asking for a 12 week commitment only. You will not have to come up with lesson plans you will only have to develop relationships with the children as they progress through discovery zones. Everything you need will be given to you. I promise you will not regret the time of pouring into these children’s lives. At that time if you feel you need a change you can. We will also begin offering different classes/Bible Studies, for the adults on Wednesday nights and everyone will be on 12 week tracks. God is calling us to a different level of intimacy and study of Him. This is only the beginning. If you can be of help PLEASE sign up in the foyer today. We will be having several training sessions prior to beginning the curriculum so that you will know exactly what to expect. Thank you in advance for your time and commitment.
Training session for all volunteer Teachers and Group Leaders who have not yet attended training will be held Wednesday, March 17th at 6:30pm.
Urgent Church Need
As many of you know our main heating and cooling system in the Sanctuary has gone out. We are in need of financial support to pay for the new unit. The estimated cost for parts and labor is approximately.$16,000 however we have collected over $5,000. We do need your assistance with this repair. Please do not use the tithe for this repair. Please designate your offering for the heating and cooling repairs on your check or envelope. Thank you very much for helping with this need.
We Need Your Help
As you may have noticed we are under construction upstairs. We need volunteers for demolition. We need help tearing down walls and pulling up carpet. You must have some experience if you are going to help tear down walls because of the electrical. The church office will be open at 9:00am. If you need to come earlier please call the church office and we will make arrangements to be here earlier.
Baptism
February 21st - Sunday at 11:00 A.M. - Broadmoor Family Worship Center held a Baptism Service after the 11:00am service where eleven people were baptized! Praise the Lord!
Winterfest Chaperons Meeting
March 1st - A Meeting for Chaperones for Winterfest will be held March 1st at 6:30pm. This meeting is mandatory please attend.
Hippity Hoppity Easter's On Its Way!
March 8that 6:30 P.M. - We need all Easter Block Party Volunteers to meet in Abba’s Café Monday March 8th at 6:30pm. If you can help in any way and have not yet signed up, please join us at this crucial planning session. God used this outreach in a mighty way last year and we are anticipating even greater things this year! Please come out and show your support, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of this!!
Winterfest
March 12-14th - Youth at Broadmoor Family Worship Center will be attending Winterfest March 12th through the 14th. For more details or if you have a teen interested in going please see Mike or Bentley.
Faith Weaver Friends Training Session
March 17th - Training session for all volunteer Teachers and Group Leaders who have not yet attended training will be held Wednesday, March 17th at 6:30pm.
Sign up day for Fresh Encounter
March 19th - Last day to sign up for Fresh Encounter.
Baby / Child Dedication
March 21th - We will be having a baby/child dedication service on March 21st during the 11:00am service. If you would like to have your child/baby dedicated we ask that you gather 5-6 pictures and a special song for them and get them to Pastor Jennifer by Sunday, Feb 28th. We will be developing short personalized power points of each child. We want to make this day special for all. If you have further questions please contact Angie in the church office.
Easter Outreach
April 3rd - Saturday - Our Easter Outreach Event is on it’s way. It is scheduled for Saturday April 3rd and we need your help. We need candy, eggs, door prizes and lots of them. Please begin collecting these items each time you shop to the best of your ability. We will be placing the candy barrels in each Welcome Center area starting March 3rd in order for you to place your donated items there. We need your help to make this event a success. We will also need as many volunteers as possible for the Event Day. Please sigh up at one of the Welcome Centers if you can help. As you may remember this event was a tremendous way to advance the Kingdom of Heaven as we have reaped many families since. Thank you in advance for your help. To God be the Glory.
Fresh Encounter
April 9th and 10th - All ladies invited. The Murfreesboro Embassy Suites and Conference Center will host the TN Sisterhood Women’s Weekend Retreat April 9th & 10th 2010. You will experience "Joy and Surprise", Worship and Delight" Heaven and Earth" Now and Forever more. Do not miss it. THIS IS YOUR NOW. Sister Joyce Stephens will host this Retreat. The deadline for registration is March 19th 2010. The cost for a 4 person occupancy $72.00 per person, 3 room occupancy $95.00 per person, 2 person occupancy $110.00 and 1 person $179.00. Registration fee includes 1 night lodging, full breakfast Saturday, tote bag and all sessions. Registration fees are non refundable. Please see Jennifer Walker if you are interested in attending.
Spring Choir
April 25th - Sunday at 11:00 A.M. - The musical portion of the presentation has been canceled at this time.
Hour of Prayer
Thursdays at 1:00 PM - Please join our group coming together each Thursday at 1:00pm to pray and intercede at The Church. All are welcome to join in for this hour of prayer.
Cookbooks Are Now Available
Broadmoor Family Worship Center's Cookbooks are now on sale for $5.00. The are located in the foyer. Please see Jennifer Walker for your copy.

Pantry Blessings
Blessings move through the pantry program to families and individuals. Thank you for your generous support. Needs today are canned meats, tuna, chicken, beef stew, chili, soups, dry milk, jelly, crackers, spaghetti and spaghetti sauce. We also need canned fruit. Note: If you are aware of someone who needs food please call the church office at 262-1497.

Remember to pray for those on our prayer list and for those that are lost in our City. The need is great but we serve God who is greater. In Philippians 4:13 we learn: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." And James 5:16b states: "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
