This Week at Broadmoor
November 19, 2006 A.M. - Nashville This morning, Pastor Reneau presented his message, The Habitation of God. Taking his text from Exodus 25:8-11, he stated that God no longer lives in houses made by the hand of man but that he lives in our temples, that is, our hearts. You can't sin throughout the week and expect God to be in your heart on Sunday. He pointed out to the youth that you can't go to Church on Sunday and jump in the back seat of a car on Monday and have sex outside the marriage bed, drink, do drugs, and then expect to have God live within your heart. If you are asking questions like "Why am I not growing spiritually", "Why am I frustrated in my Christian experience", "Do I even know God", and "Is He really Lord of my life" the answer is that you won't have to wonder when you completely submit to God. God must be Lord of everything in your life.
The Pastor spoke frankly, to the point, and not necessarily "Politically Correct" as viewed by the world today. But the world would have you believe that you can do anything and everything just as long as you have a good time. This broad path that the world would have you go down leads to destruction. The path of salvation is much, much narrower but we have God that will help us as we strive to follow Him. He has given us the roadmap to follow, that is His Word, the Holy Bible. This path to us is free but God has paid for it with the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. He paid for it and Jesus paid for it because of their great love for us.
People today need frank and to the point truth spoken to them. You will never hear it from the world today.

October 7, 2006 A.M. - Nashville This morning, Pastor Reneau began the first of a three part series, Living in a Haunted House. Taking his text from Matthew 12:43-45, he went on to point out that a life without purpose is an open invitation to the forces of this world to come in and take over our lives. Let God's purpose for our lives be our purpose.

July 2, 2006 A.M. - Nashville This morning, we paid tribute to our Country, our Veterans who have served our country, and most importantly, to our Heavenly Father. Spirited Patriotic songs and a visual presentation paid honor to our Country and our Veterans. Pastor Reneau then continued speaking about David and his life leading up to becoming King of Israel. David loved, served and was under the authority of King Saul. He was the King's armor bearer, a position of honor, duty, and danger. He faithfully served King Saul even when Saul was trying to kill him. Being under authority is where you gain authority. God, our Heavenly Father, is the highest authority of all. We all should submit and be under the authority of God.

June 18, 2006 A.M. - Nashville This morning, we paid tribute to the Fathers that were present in the service. Awards were given out to the oldest, youngest, and the father there with the most children present.
In remarks leading up to the service, Pastor Reneau, quoted that children were less likely to get into drugs, trouble, run away from home and other problems when only one thing is in the home, a father.

May 28, 2006 A.M. - Nashville We welcomed our new Pastor and his First Lady on this their first Sunday at Broadmoor. After a Spirt led Praise and Worship service, Bishop Reneau continued in a Spirit led service where he said that while praising and basking in the presence of the Holy Spirit was fulfilling, this is not all that we need to be doing. We need to be out telling others about Jesus and His gift for us. Thank you and welcome Pastor and First Lady Reneau.

May 7, 2006 A.M. - Nashville Rev. David Gosnell brought the message to us this morning. He spoke from James 1:1-8. In this we are instructed to ask God for wisdom but to do so in faith and not in doubt. Rev. Gosnell pointed out and gave examples of reaching out to God for our needs and that sometimes, when we have done all that we can to reach God and we still can't seem to reach Him, He will reach out to us and supply our needs.

March 19, 2006 A.M. - Nashville It is with great sadness that we report that this Sunday marks the last service in which Bishop Peterson will lead the Broadmoor church as our Senior Pastor. The Petersons are retiring and moving to Florida. The Petersons will be greatly missed both as Pastor and personal friends. God go with you, bless you, heal you, and provide all your needs as you continue your walk with Him.

February 12, 2006 A.M. - Nashville In this morning's message, Owner Of A Brave Heart, Pastor Peterson tells us of Caleb's desire to serve God and his claim of the promised land 45 years after the Exodus from Egypt! He stood the test of time and stayed true to the Lord by wholly following God and not the crowd. Today, we must do the same. Do we let minor things get into our way?

February 12, 2006 P.M. - Nashville In tonight's Bible Study, God, Do You Remember?, Pastor Peterson spoke of Jeremiah the Prophet. Sometimes we might think that we are the only one doing anything for God. Jeremiah did. He felt neglected, alone, and even mistreated. God gave His Prophet courage by showing him, among other things, a picture of victory. God reminded Jeremiah that the Lord is greater than any problem or circumstance we might have. Let God show you, too.

February 5, 2006 A.M. - Nashville In this morning's message, Admonitions to Praise, Pastor Peterson spoke of the blessings that God has bestowed upon us and the example that David gave to us, that is to praise God. Many believers today would prosper a lot more if they would only praise God more.
Communion was served after the morning service. We follow this custom at Broadmoor on every first Sunday of the month,

This Week at Broadmoor
January 29, 2006 A.M. - Nashville Today was a very special Praise and Worship Service as the Holy Spirit inspired the choir and all present with His great presence. You truly needed to be there to experience it as these words are not adequate to describe it.
Then Pastor Peterson, in his morning message, God's Thrilling Words, asked the rhetorical question, "Is anything too hard for the Lord." These are thrilling words indeed!

January 22, 2006 A.M. - Nashville Today a special Commissioning Service was held just prior to the morning message. Three new ministers of the Church of God were set forth "to teach and defend the Word of God". Stephanie Chumley, Doug Dano and Lois Dano were commissioned as ministers of the Church of God. Each of these new ministers are dedicated leaders that are passionate about sharing the Word of God in their respective areas. Following the commissioning service, Pastor Peterson spoke on The one who has been forgiven the most will be the most thankful in his message, The Works Of Our Saving Faith. At the close of the service a dinner was served in the gym with the newly commissioned ministers as the guests of honor.

January 1, 2006 A.M. - Nashville The Broadmoor Choir, full of the Holy Spirit, ushered in the first service of the New Year with a really great Praise and Worship service. Pastor Peterson continued and followed the leading of the Holy Spirit as one person came forward to rededicate their life to Jesus. He then invited all to rededicate themselves and dozens came forward! He then spoke on "Don't Waste Time Turning Over A New Leaf In 2006, Let God Rake Your Whole Yard" in his sermon A Well in the Field. Communion was then served to all at the end of the service.
