We have begun serving meals again on Wednesday evenings. We want this to be a blessing to you and your family and we want to bless all that do not have time to prepare a meal before coming to church on Wednesday nights. We are asking for a donation of $5 per person. We will need help with the children that come on the vans and do not have parents with them, to assist with making plates and getting them seated. We have a short time to do this and get them to their class on time. Also, please invite these children to your table and fellowship with them; some of these children may not know what it is to sit together as family. We will need aid in cleaning up after service, as we do not want Sister Sharon to be left to this task after having cooked the meal. Please sign-up on the sheets available at each Welcome Station for the week you will be available to help. Thank you all for your service to the building of our Father’s Kingdom.

Ladies you don't want to miss Abba’s Girls Annual Retreat, November 4-6, 2010. We will leave the church at 4:00pm Thursday and will return Saturday afternoon. All ladies 18-99 years old are welcome to join us for a fabulous Girl’s weekend out in the Beautiful Smoky Mountains. The cost is $100 per person which covers your 2 nights in the cabin and all the food for the weekend. Money is Due Oct. 3, 2010. You may give your monies to Angie Murphy.

We need to break the cycle, most people who have been divorced will be again if there is not a change made. The word says we are to help the hurting and bind up the brokenhearted. Evangelism Outreach Opportunity Saturday June 26th
The Evangelism Department is taking a group of volunteers to the Nashville Rescue Mission to help feed the hurting people of Nashville on Saturday June 26th. Due to the limited spots available, you must sign up this week to be able to attend. We will be leaving the Church together at 9:45am and we will return approximately 1:30pm. This will be an awesome opportunity to share the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.

Urgent Church Need
As many of you know our main heating and cooling system in the Sanctuary has gone out. We are in need of financial support to pay for the new unit. The estimated cost for parts and labor is approximately $16,000 however we have collected over $5,000. We do need your assistance with this repair. Please do not use the tithe for this repair. Please designate your offering for the heating and cooling repairs on your check or envelope. Thank you very much for helping with this need.

Mother/Daughter Tea Party
Ladies, Abba’s Girls we will be holding a Mother/Daughter Tea Party on Saturday, May 8th at 3:00pm here at the church. All are invited! New Sunday School and Wednesday Night Class
We want to let everyone know that there has been a new Sunday School and Wednesday night class set up specifically for the 20’s and 30 somethings (still working on a name). They are meeting in one of the new renovated rooms in the Gym. If you are or know someone in this age group that has had a hard time finding a place to plug in and grow, this is a great place to start. There will be a special meeting held on April 18th during Sunday School hour to discuss some of the logics for this class.

Ladies, Abba’s Girls we will be holding a Mother/Daughter Tea Party on Saturday, May 8th at 3:00pm here at the church. All are invited! Over 60% of all marriages in the church end in divorce. Single again and single parents are the fastest growing number of people coming into our churches as new members. We need to break the cycle, most people who have been divorced will be again if there is not a change made. The word says we are to help the hurting and bind up the brokenhearted. We want to let everyone know that there has been a new Sunday School and Wednesday night class set up specifically for the 20’s and 30 somethings (still working on a name). They are meeting in one of the new renovated rooms in the Gym. If you are or know someone in this age group that has had a hard time finding a place to plug in and grow, this is a great place to start. There will be a special meeting held on April 18th during Sunday School hour to discuss some of the logics for this class.

Our Easter Outreach Event is scheduled for Saturday, April 3rd, from 11:00am until 2:00pm. We still need candy, eggs, door prizes and volunteers for this event. If you have not signed up as a volunteer please come on out and we can plug you in. Please bring your candy in by Wednesday, March 31st, and place them in the barrels provided. We need your help to make this a success. As you may remember this event was a tremendous way to advance the Kingdom of Heaven as we have reaped many families since.

We are beginning a new Curriculum in our children’s dept called Faith Weaver Friends. This will be done in 12 week increments and will keep the children interested as they explore important aspects of the Bible. We are very excited about this but need your help. If you have a love for children we need you. We are asking for a 12 week commitment only. You will not have to come up with lesson plans you will only have to develop relationships with the children as they progress through discovery zones. Everything you need will be given to you. I promise you will not regret the time of pouring into these children’s lives. At that time if you feel you need a change you can. We will also begin offering different classes/Bible Studies, for the adults on Wednesday nights and everyone will be on 12 week tracks. God is calling us to a different level of intimacy and study of Him. This is only the beginning. If you can be of help PLEASE sign up in the foyer today. We will be having several training sessions prior to beginning the curriculum so that you will know exactly what to expect. Thank you in advance for your time and commitment.

Child Dedication
We will be having a baby/child dedication service on March 21st during the 11:00am service. This will be done in 12 week increments and will keep the children interested as they explore important aspects of the Bible. We are very excited about this but need your help. You will not have to come up with lesson plans you will only have to develop relationships with the children as they progress through discovery zones. Everything you need will be given to you. Now is the time to clean out those rooms because we need them for children’s classes. If you have anything here that belongs to you or that has sentimental value to you please take some time and come get these items to take them home. We will be doing mass clean out on Saturday, February 20th and Saturday, February 27th from 9:00am until 1:00pm. At that time whatever is left will be up to our discretion whether it stays or goes. Temporary Suspension of the Van/Bus Ministry
We will be suspending the Van/Bus Ministry for a short duration effective Wednesday, January 20th. We are revamping and restructuring this ministry to prepare for growth and increase. Urgent Church Need
As many of you know our main heating and cooling system in the Sanctuary has gone out. We are in need of financial support to pay for the new unit. The estimated cost for parts and labor is approximately $16,000. We do need your assistance with this repair. Please do not use the tithe for this repair. There will be a brief meeting on Wednesday night, January 20th, at 5:45pm. Please make every effort to be there. If you are not able to make it please let Jennifer Walker know. We are so excited about what God is doing on Wednesdays. We will be introducing new curriculum for children's Wednesday night classes. All who would be interested in helping teach or monitor the classroom's are welcome to join us for this meeting. Thank you for all you do.
