Lord, Help Me To Grow Up
Text: Ephesians 4:15
Preface:
- In a joking way, we often make the little statement,"Oh, just grow up."
- However, it certainly is true in a lot of our lives.
- Growing up Spiritually can be an awesome task for some.
- I Peter 2:2 tells us to "Desire the sincere milk of the Word that we may grow."
- It’s so easy to remain NOT GROWN UP.
- Because when we are grown up we must be mature concerning life.
- God also expects the Christian to Grow Up, the Bible gives us a clear understanding about this matter
A. Concerning Our Possessions
- "A man’s life consisteth not in abundance of the things he possesseth." (Luke 12:15)
- Many place TOO MUCH value on money and possessions
- We grow up when we give our Father a first place position in our lives
B. Pleasure Seekers
- "Lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God." (II Timothy 3:4)
- We live in a PLEASURE SEEKING, PLEASUE LOVING society.
- Only Christ satisfies our longing soul. (Psalms 107:9)
- The greatest pleasure is knowing God.
C. Concerning Position In Life
- "Labor, for the meat which endureth unto everlasting life." (John 6:27)
- Some place too much importance on holding a great and mighty position in work and sometimes even in church.
- A glorious promotion awaits those who grow up in Christ. (Rev. 21:23)

NOTHING TO LOOSE
Text: Isaiah 14:12-15, Revelation 20:10
Preface: Have you ever been confronted with a hard decision that you must make? Often we may end up thinking that,"I have nothing to loose." This statement certainly applies to satan, the great deceiver of mankind.
I am a firm believer that we, as born again Christians, must fully accept and understand that satan has absolutely nothing to loose and we, as Christians, have EVERYTHING to loose. Let’s look this morning at some interesting facts that our Father wants us to know about satan.
A. His Character
- Is the enemy of all good. (Matt. 13:28)
- Father of lies. (John 8:44)
- Sower of discord. (Matt. 13:29)
- Our adversary. (I Peter 5:8-9)
- Cowardly. (James 4:7)
- Thief. (John 10:10)
- Tempter. (Matt. 4:1-11)
B. What He Has To Loose
- His doom was first predicted in Geneses 3:15.
- Will be dealt with at the 1st Advent John 19:30, Col. 2:14-17.
- Again at the Second Advent Revelation 20:1-3.
- At the Battle of Armageddon Revelation 20:7-10
C. What We Have To Gain
- A place created by God Himself. Isaiah 45:18
- A place where we rest throughout eternity
- No night there
- No sickness there
- No more pain
D. In Conclusion:
- Whether you have invested 1-day or many years in living for Jesus, you have traveled too far to turn back.
- NOTHING satan has to offer you will ever come close to the splendor of the Holy City.
- Make very sure today, that you don't miss HEAVEN.

NOTHING TO LOOSE - Part II
Text: Deuteronomy 30:19-20
Preface: What Will You Make Of Your Life?
- Most agree that "Life is exactly what you make of it."
- It is true that some people seem to get an advantage over others by certain circumstances and surroundings.
- However, I am totally convinced that one must surrender their life to God in order to have an abundant life.
- There are two men, both named Saul, in the Bible. They are good examples of a great failure and a great success.
- Our Heavenly Father has set before us "Good and Evil", it is up to us to make a choice of which we will follow.
A. Saul, The Selfish Ruler
- This Saul was anointed the first king of Israel, and had everything going for him.
- He was young, handsome, and very intelligent.
- He seemed to have the favor of all.
- Greatest of all, he had the anointing of God upon him.
- Saul admitted that he had chosen the wrong road to walk.
- He stated, "I have played the fool." ( I Samuel 26:21)
- He chose to be stubborn and self-willed.
- Saul died on a lonely night, after being defeated, and died upon his own sword.
B. Saul, The Persevering Preacher
- In the New Testament, we read of this Saul, and he also was a man of high esteem.
- He was well educated and prominent in religion.
- This Saul chose to give up all the high esteem positions and become an Apostle for Christ.
- When talking about his past life experience, he stated, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." ( II Timothy 4:7)
C. Thought
- For sure, some people are stronger than others, which may seem to make them more successful than others.
- But, it is the POWER OF ALMIGHTY GOD that causes anyone to succeed in the Lord
WHAT WILL YOU MAKE OF YOUR LIFE?
