Samaritan's Place is a cluster community of three ministry homes dedicated to a holistic ministry plan of improving the quality of life of urban poor, especially children. The first house serves as a medical/food storage center and short-term missionaries guest housing, while the other two houses function as orphanage cottage homes (girls and boys each).
The Need:
Presently, more than 35.5% of Philippine families live below the poverty line income of $225.00 US per month. An estimated 2 million children live in this impoverishment
with approximately one hundred thousand surviving as street children in Metro Manila.
The Goal:
Samaritan's Place provides long-term physical, emotional, educational and spiritual care to underprivileged children designated by the Philippine Department of Social Welfare to its legal guardianship. Through the nurture of a loving staff of Christian house parents, professional social workers and volunteers, the children have the opportunity to grow into healthy, responsible and productive adult citizens. Other benevolence programs operate to enhance the welfare and evangelization of nearby communities.

The Location:
Samaritan's Place is strategically located 25 miles southwest
of Manila in the higher altitude of Tagaytay-Silang, Cavite (approximately l5OOft elevation). This location
provides a milder climate (average 83ºF), lower food costs (fresh produce is grown locally) and fast
travel to Metro Manila and three adjacent provinces.
